Azerbaijan, Syria examine ways to boost consular cooperation

Charge d'Affaires of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Syria, Elnur Shahhuseynov has met with the Head of the Consular Department of Syria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Barra Shukri.

The meeting focused on exploring the potential for collaboration in the consular sphere, Caliber.Az reports, referencing Azerbaijan’s embassy in Damascus.

Both parties assessed the opportunities for strengthening consular relations between the two nations.

In recent development, Shahhuseynov, held talks with the UAE Ambassador to Syria, Hassan Ahmed al-Shehhi, regarding the political situation in Syria.

A statement from the Azerbaijani Embassy highlighted that the meeting was productive, focusing on the latest developments in the region.

The discussion took place amid continued international concern over Syria's stability, with various parties addressing ongoing political and security challenges.
