Azerbaijan, UAE address Syrian stability in bilateral talks
The Charge d'Affaires of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Syria, Elnur Shahguseynov, met with the UAE Ambassador to Syria, Hassan Ahmed al-Shehhi, to discuss the political situation in Syria.
According to a statement from the Azerbaijani Embassy, the two diplomats held a productive conversation on the current developments in the region, Caliber.Az reports.
The discussion comes amid ongoing international concern over the stability of Syria, as various stakeholders continue to navigate complex political and security challenges within the country.
Note that, on March 4 Elnur Shahhuseynov, has met with his Pakistani counterpart, Umer Hayat Khan, in Pakistan to discuss matters of mutual interest.
According to the Azerbaijani embassy, the meeting provided an opportunity to explore ways of strengthening diplomatic and economic ties. While specific details were not disclosed, both sides underscored the importance of continued collaboration.
The talks reflect the growing diplomatic engagement between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, with both countries reaffirming their commitment to closer cooperation across various sectors.
To recall, the Azerbaijani embassy in Syria’s capital, Damascus, resumed operations after being closed for 13 years, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has announced.
According to the ministry, a chargé d'affaires dispatched and commenced duties in Damascus.
