Baku to host key Azerbaijan–Tajikistan commission meeting on May 21

The 8th meeting of the Azerbaijan–Tajikistan Intergovernmental Commission will take place in Baku on May 21.

Preparations for the upcoming session were discussed on May 20 during a meeting between Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov and Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Usmonali Usmonzoda, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Cabinet of Ministers.

The sides emphasised the successful development of strategic partnership relations between the two countries and highlighted the role of political will from the heads of state in this process.

Special attention was given to expanding trade and economic cooperation, encouraging mutual investment, strengthening joint activities in transport, transit and energy sectors, as well as developing humanitarian ties.
