Azerbaijan to eliminate double taxation with Portugal

Azerbaijan and Portugal have reached an agreement on a draft convention on the elimination of double taxation in respect to income taxes and the prevention of tax evasion.

The relevant decision was made during a meeting held between the State Tax Service under the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry and the Portuguese Finance Ministry in Lisbon, Portugal, the State Tax Service told Report.

An agreement on all provisions of the draft convention relating to taxation was reached as a result of four days of negotiations.

The views on "Transfer prices" with officials of the Portuguese tax and customs organisation were exchanged during the visit.

The best practices of various countries were considered during the discussions, the sides agreed to further intensify cooperation in this sphere.
