Azerbaijan to increase gold output

The Azerbaijani government forecasts gold production to reach 3,104 kg in 2023.

The government predicts that in 2024, gold production in the country will increase to 3,123.5 kg, in 2025 to 3,141.5 kg and in 2026 to 3,154.5 kg, according to Interfax-Azerbaijan.

Thus, the production of gold in Azerbaijan will increase by 1.6 per cent in 2023-2026.

As previously reported, the production of gold in Azerbaijan from January through November 2022 amounted to 3,001.5 kg, having dropped by 6.1 per cent on annual basis.

Gold and silver production in Azerbaijan is currently carried out by two companies - Anglo Asian Mining PLC and AzerGold.
