Baku, Vienna discuss cooperation in various economic spheres PHOTO
The 11th meeting of the Azerbaijani-Austrian joint commission on economic cooperation was held in Vienna, Austria, on June 11, as announced by the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Austria, Rovshan Sadigbayli.
“The 11th session of the Azerbaijan-Austria Joint Commission on Economic, Agricultural, Industrial, Technical, and Technological Cooperation and business roundtable with the participation of Azerbaijani and Austrian companies was held on 11 June in Vienna,” the ambassador wrote on X, per Caliber.Az.
“Good opportunity to take stock of developments in bilateral relations and to chart a way forward. Our bilateral economic cooperation is multifaceted and spans construction, agriculture, engineering, transportation, medical technology, services, banking, energy and tourism, underscoring a dynamic and evolving bilateral relationship,” Sadigbayli added.
Notably, the Azerbaijani-Austrian Joint Commission on Economic, Agricultural, Industrial, Technical and Technological Cooperation has been operating since 1999. It was established to strengthen and diversify economic ties between the two countries, fostering collaboration across multiple sectors. Since its inception, the commission has served as a key platform for dialogue, enabling the identification of joint opportunities and the resolution of challenges in trade and investment.
Over the years, Azerbaijan and Austria have developed a multifaceted partnership encompassing areas such as construction, agriculture, engineering, transportation, medical technology, banking, energy, and tourism. Both countries have emphasised the importance of expanding cooperation in technological innovation and sustainable development to meet the evolving demands of the global economy.
