The discussion highlighted the ongoing collaboration between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in various sectors.
The Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan underlined the importance of maintaining and further enhancing the strong relationship between the two nations.
Türkiye’s relationship with Azerbaijan is multifaceted and strategically significant. High-level engagements between the two countries serve as the primary engine driving bilateral ties. It has become customary for officials to visit one another’s countries shortly after taking office or following key developments of symbolic importance.
In 2010, the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSC) was established at the presidential level to further strengthen these bilateral relations. Additionally, the Shusha Declaration, signed during President Erdoğan’s visit to Azerbaijan on June 15, 2021, formalized both countries' commitment to elevating their partnership to the level of an alliance.
Trilateral and quadrilateral mechanisms formed alongside Azerbaijan play a crucial role in promoting regional stability, peace, and prosperity.
