The 16th high-level military dialogue between the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces began in Baku on December 2.
First a meeting was held by delegations led by Lieutenant General Azer Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Lieutenant General Ali Osman Yurdagul of Türkiye. Azer Aliyev said Azerbaijani-Turkish military ties, “built on the principles of brotherhood and friendship, continue to develop in an upward direction,” Caliber.Az writes, citing the Defence Ministry.
Yurdagul thanked Azerbaijani officials for their warm welcome and highlighted that the mutual meetings significantly contribute to the exchange of experience between the two armies.

Discussions focused on the development of military and military-technical cooperation, as well as prospects for expanding bilateral defence ties.
Following the talks, a ceremony marked the official opening of the dialogue, and subgroup meetings were held to address specific areas of cooperation.
