Azerbaijan, Türkiye move to boost intensity of joint military exercises photo
The official visit to Azerbaijan by a Turkish military delegation headed by Army General Levent Ergün, Second Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Türkiye, is continuing.
The Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan told Caliber.Az that a meeting was held on December 18 between the First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, and the visiting Turkish delegation.
During the talks, Colonel General Valiyev noted that the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Türkiye continues to develop steadily and on an upward trajectory.

In this context, he underlined the importance of increasing the intensity of joint military exercises aimed at further improving the professional knowledge and practical skills of servicemen from both countries.
Army General Levent Ergün, in turn, emphasised the positive impact of the events taking place within the framework of the 17th meeting of the Azerbaijan–Türkiye High-Level Military Dialogue, which has been underway in Baku for the past two days.
He noted that these engagements contribute to the creation of new opportunities for bilateral cooperation and highlighted the importance of reciprocal visits in further expanding military collaboration.
The meeting also included a comprehensive review of the current state of Azerbaijani–Turkish military cooperation. The sides held broad discussions on matters of mutual interest and exchanged views on plans for future cooperation.
