Azerbaijan, UAE established strong political and economic dialogue, says pundit
Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates have established an effective political and economic dialogue, said Shahmar Hajiyev, the head of the Baku-based Centre for Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center).
He stated that since the UAE is one of the leading states in the Middle East, expanding economic and political ties with this country is in Azerbaijan's interests, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
"An effective political and economic dialogue has already been established between Azerbaijan and the UAE. Masdar company has done significant work in the field of alternative and renewable energy in Azerbaijan and has implemented the Garadagh solar power plant project, and this is one of the significant projects for Azerbaijan's energy supply," Hajiyev said.
Hajiyev added that Azerbaijan is implementing important energy projects and will be a focus of attention in the future, not only as an oil and gas producer but also as an exporter of clean energy to the European market.
He emphasised that the signing of 14 documents during the recent visit of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Azerbaijan will give new impetus to the expansion of ties between the countries.
