Azerbaijan, UAE review cooperation in global organizations PHOTO

As part of a visit to Uzbekistan, Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Sahiba Gafarova has held talks with the second deputy speaker of the UAE Federal National Council Maryam Majid Kalfan bin Theneya in Bukhara.

The meeting focused on cooperation within international organizations, Caliber.Az reports per local media. 

The sides noted that the two countries successfully cooperate and support each other within the United Nations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the Non-Aligned Movement.

Gafarova praised the participation of UAE representatives in the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, which was established on the initiative of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The parties also highlighted the importance of the Second Asian Women’s Forum held in Bukhara and the issues discussed there, noting that such parliamentary platforms play an important role in strengthening bilateral cooperation.
