Azerbaijani, Uzbek foreign ministers discuss bilateral ties in phone call UPDATED
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, during which the two officials discussed a range of issues related to the friendly and allied relations between their countries.
According to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry, the ministers expressed confidence that joint efforts to further strengthen multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, based on shared interests and common values, would continue in the coming year, Caliber.Az reports.
The two sides also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional matters of mutual interest.
Bayramov and Saidov additionally conveyed their congratulations to each other on the occasion of the upcoming New Year, the ministry said.

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening strategic and allied relations, following a phone conversation between Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and his Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov.
Speaking on his Telegram channel, Saidov described the discussion as “candid and productive,” noting the progress made over the past year.
“We noted with great satisfaction the dynamic development of the strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan over 2025,” he said.
Saidov added that both sides had reaffirmed "joint commitment to fully implementing all the agreements” and expressed readiness “to continue supporting each other" and to further strengthen cooperation in all areas.
