Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan to launch joint investment fund PHOTO
Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are considering the creation of a joint insvestment fund.
The relevant remarks were made during Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov's meeting with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Tashkent, Caliber.Az with reference to the press service of the Uzbek leader.
The Azerbaijani foreign minister conveyed to the leader of Uzbekistan the sincere greetings and wishes of President Ilham Aliyev.
The sides considered issues of further development of Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations of strategic partnership. Particular attention has been paid to the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest levels.
The sides noted with delight the growth in mutual trade and the progress in materializing cooperation projects in auto manufacturing, cotton-textile and silkworm clusters.
In addition, major projects in the oil and gas and chemical industries are currently under study. A Joint Investment Fund is being created.
Issues of interaction within the framework of international and regional structures, including the Organization of Turkic States, the Non-Aligned Movement and the Economic Cooperation Organization, were discussed.
The schedule for upcoming meetings and events at the highest level was reviewed.
Note that D. Bayramov takes part in the 26th meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Economic Cooperation Organization in the capital of Uzbekistan - Tashkent.
