Azerbaijan, Bulgaria set course for deeper strategic partnership UPDATED
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has hosted a delegation led by Bulgarian counterpart Georg Georgiev in Baku, marking a significant step in strengthening ties between the two countries.
Following a bilateral meeting, the discussions expanded to include representatives from both sides, Caliber.Az reports.

The talks primarily focused on the deepening of strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, with discussions spanning key areas such as trade, economic cooperation, energy security, the development of green energy, and humanitarian and cultural cooperation.
The ministers also exchanged views on regional and international security concerns, reflecting their shared commitment to maintaining stability in their respective regions.
Minister Bayramov informed his Bulgarian counterpart about the post-conflict situation in Azerbaijan, particularly regarding the ongoing reconstruction efforts in Karabakh. He highlighted the continuing threat posed by landmines in these areas and underscored the need for international attention to these challenges.
Bayramov also provided an insight into Armenia's persistent territorial claims outlined in its Constitution, stressing the importance of resolving this issue for the sake of long-term peace and stability. Additionally, he emphasized the necessity of dissolving the OSCE Minsk Group, which has been involved in peace negotiations.
The meeting concluded with both sides expressing their desire to further enhance bilateral and multilateral cooperation, outlining future plans for collaboration across multiple sectors. The discussion reinforced the growing partnership between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, setting the stage for more comprehensive cooperation in the years ahead.

“Tête-à-tête meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria Georg Georgiev has just started,” the ministry’s post noted.
