Azerbaijani Defence Minister orders to prevent provocations of revanchists
On July 2, an official meeting was held at the Central Command Post under the leadership of the Minister of Defence, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov.
The meeting was attended by deputy ministers, commanders of the Armed Forces, heads of the Main Departments and Services of the Ministry, the press service of the Ministry of Defence told Caliber.Az.
The commanders of military units and formations stationed in the liberated territories joined the meeting via video link.
The Defence Minister gave appropriate instructions to be ready at any moment to prevent possible provocations of revanchist forces.
The meeting included a comprehensive analysis of the operative situation on the Azerbaijani - Armenian state border and in the Karabakh economic zone and gave specific instructions for strengthening logistical and combat support of subunits, improving service and combat activity of the military servicemen, as well as increasing of vigilance of the personnel.
The Defence Minister positively assessed the activity of recently established military units (commandos), as well as their successful staffing. Hasanov gave appropriate instructions to pay special attention to the combat training of commandos.
After hearing the reports on the activities of the National Defence University, the minister stressed the importance of effective use of scientific potential, improvement of the quality of research in Western science, including scientific approaches to modern combat operations, and the use of new methods in military schools.
Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov gave instructions on the organisation of service of troops in military units stationed in liberated territories, the continuation of necessary engineering measures as well as the creation of new military infrastructure in order to further improve service and living conditions.
The Minister, in accordance with the corresponding order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, has tasked the responsible persons with the placement of conscripts, whose distribution is carried out electronically, in the relevant units, as well as with the organised performance of work on the discharge of conscripts of fixed-term active military service.
