Azerbaijani defence ministry commemorates Remembrance Day VIDEO
The Azerbaijani Defence Ministry has released footage to mark September 27, Remembrance Day, which honours the memory of those who lost their lives during the 2020 Patriotic War.
Caliber.Az presents the footage:
Remembrance Day is observed annually on September 27 to honour the memory of servicemen and civilians who lost their lives during the 44-day Patriotic War of 2020. The date marks the beginning of hostilities in the Second Karabakh War, when Azerbaijani forces launched counter-offensive operations in response to Armenian provocations and military aggression.
The day was officially established by presidential decree on December 2, 2020, following Azerbaijan’s victory, which restored its sovereignty over territories that had been under Armenian occupation for nearly three decades.
