Azerbaijani delegation explores global legal cooperation at conference in Austria
A delegation led by Chairman of the Azerbaijani Bar Association Anar Baghirov has explored the opportunities to strengthen international cooperation in the legal field during the 53rd Conference of European Bar Association Leaders in Vienna, Austria.
The Azerbaijani delegation participated in the conference at the invitation of the Austrian Bar Association, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The conference, which took place at the historic Palais Ferstel in Vienna, centered around the theme "Reducing Regulation and the Rule of Law: Opportunity or Threat?" The event brought together key figures from the legal world to discuss crucial issues facing the legal profession across Europe.
Attendees were warmly welcomed by the Austrian Federal Chancellor and the Federal Minister of Justice, reflecting the importance of the conference in fostering international legal cooperation. The conference concluded with an official reception at the Palais Niederösterreich, where participants had the opportunity to network and engage in further discussions. On February 27, the Azerbaijani delegation also took part in sessions of the Permanent Committees of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE).
During these meetings, committee members discussed a range of issues on the agenda, voted on key matters, and set the course for the future activities of the CCBE. As part of their visit, representatives from the Azerbaijani Bar Association met with leaders of various national bar associations. These meetings focused on sharing experience related to legal reforms and exploring opportunities to strengthen international cooperation in the legal field.
The 53rd conference, with its extensive and multifaceted programme, continues to play a vital role as a platform for sharing knowledge and fostering dialogue among the leaders of Europe’s most prominent legal organisations. For over fifty years, the event has been essential in shaping the future of the legal profession in Europe.
