Azerbaijani delegation to attend PACE committee sessions

From 15 to 23 March, meetings of the Committees of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on politics and democracy, monitoring, migration, refugees and internally displaced persons, human rights, culture, science, education, and media will be held in Paris.

Report informs that the Azerbaijani delegation headed by the Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Relations Samad Seyidov will take part in the meetings. The delegation will also include deputies Rafael Huseynov, Erkin Gadirli, Kamal Jafarov, and Nigar Arpadarai.

The sessions will discuss the integration of migrants and refugees, the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan and the situation of Afghan refugees, maintaining peace and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean, the implications for Europe of recent developments in Libya and the Middle East, strengthening ties between the Council of Europe and Latin America, the European Convention on human rights, climate change, etc.
