Azerbaijani FM commends outgoing Algerian envoy’s diplomatic service Discusses bilateral ties & regional developments

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov hosted Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Algeria Abdelwahab Osman on April 19 to mark the conclusion of his diplomatic tenure in Azerbaijan.

Expressing gratitude for Osman's efforts in advancing Azerbaijan-Algeria relations, Bayramov wished him success in his future endeavors, as reported by Caliber.Az.

Both sides expressed contentment with the robust partnership between Azerbaijan and Algeria, highlighting the depth of their friendly bilateral ties and extensive high-level engagements. Emphasizing the significance of their cooperation across political, economic, humanitarian, and energy sectors, they underscored the importance of inter-parliamentary relations. Azerbaijan and Algeria reaffirmed their commitment to collaboration within international forums like the UN, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and Non-Aligned Movement.

Bayramov appreciated Algeria's consistent support for Azerbaijan's stance during the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, based on international law.

Furthermore, the minister briefed the ambassador on the current regional dynamics and the ongoing process of normalizing relations with Armenia.
