Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov took part in the first Azerbaijani-Moroccan business forum, organised in Morocco on November 14 within the second meeting of the intergovernmental joint commission on bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Morocco.
While delivering a speech at the event, Bayramov expressed hope that the forum will help expand bilateral trade and encourage mutual investments, the Azerbaijani foreign ministry told Caliber.Az.
The minister noted the potential for developing cooperation in such spheres as trade, investments, energy, transport, and agriculture.
While stressing that the participation of leading Azerbaijani companies in infrastructure projects being implemented in Morocco can bring additional benefits to bilateral economic cooperation, Bayramov said that the strategic geographical location of Azerbaijan and Morocco facilitates the development of ties between trade ports.
Bayramov highly appreciated the signing of memorandums of understanding by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO), the Baku International Sea Trade Port with Moroccan relevant agencies.
The minister urged Moroccan investors and companies to consider business and investment opportunities in the Alat free economic zone, as well as in the Azerbaijani territories liberated from occupation.
