Azerbaijani forces thwart Armenian UAV reconnaissance attempt
On March 30, at approximately 21:25, the Armenian Armed Forces once again attempted to conduct reconnaissance flights over the positions of the Azerbaijani army, located opposite the village of Gerenzur, using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and drones.
Thanks to the vigilance of Azerbaijani forces, the provocation was successfully thwarted, Caliber.Az reports, citing Defence Ministry.
Thus, from 22:30 on March 30 to 04:35 on March 31, Armenian military units fired upon Azerbaijani positions multiple times using small arms. These attacks came from the directions of the Goruss, Basarkechar, and Chambarak regions.
The Ministry of Defence reports that these actions were promptly countered, and no casualties have been reported from the Azerbaijani side.
Notably, on March 29 and 30, Armenian armed forces attempted to breach Azerbaijan's airspace with reconnaissance flights using UAVs and drones over the Gerenzur settlement area. Despite three separate attempts, Azerbaijan's Army successfully thwarted the provocations due to heightened vigilance.
Additionally, Armenian forces fired small arms at Azerbaijani military positions from Gorus, Basarkechar, and Chambarak regions. The Azerbaijan Army promptly responded, maintaining defensive readiness.
The Azerbaijani Defence Ministry condemned these actions as deliberate provocations, noting similar ceasefire violations on March 19-20.
