Azerbaijani foreign minister, Romanian Senate President discuss expanding co-op PHOTO
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met President of the Senate of Romania Nicolae Ciucă as part of his official visit to Romania.
At the meeting, Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized the role of mutual visits and contacts through parliamentary diplomacy in the development of a strategic partnership between the two countries. It was emphasized that it is necessary to develop the existing legal framework in order to further expand relations. Jeyhun Bayramov noted the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Romania, mutually beneficial cooperation based on mutual support and solidarity within the framework of regional and international organizations, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
At the meeting, the importance of further expanding cooperation in such areas as increasing trade turnover, economic, energy, transport, tourism, agricultural and other sectors, in the areas of alternative energy and digital development was emphasized.
Touching upon the issue of normalizing relations with Armenia, Jeyhun Bayramov said that despite the existing difficulties and challenges, Azerbaijan intends to continue practical steps within the framework of the peace process.
Nicolae Ciucă emphasized that Romania supports Azerbaijan’s efforts to establish peace and security in the South Caucasus.
