Azerbaijani, Georgian foreign ministers review bilateral ties, future prospects
On December 29, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone conversation with his Georgian counterpart, Maka Botchorishvili, to review the current state and future prospects of friendly relations and strategic partnership between the two countries.
During the call, they emphasised that ongoing high-level political dialogue and frequent visits contribute to strengthening Azerbaijani-Georgian ties, and highlighted the importance of expanding top-level political contacts in the coming year, Caliber.Az reports per Foreign Ministry.
Bayramov and Botchorishvili also discussed regional trade and transport communications, welcoming efforts in this area.
They noted with satisfaction the recent agreement on tariffs for exporting Azerbaijani petroleum products to Armenia via Georgian territory and stressed the importance of continuing work in this sector. Bayramov expressed gratitude to the Georgian leadership for promptly resolving the matter.
