Azerbaijani Land Forces commemorate national unity, heroism PHOTO
Under the 2025 training plan, military units of the Azerbaijani Land Forces held a series of events dedicated to the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty.”
During the gatherings, participants paid tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland, observing a moment of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was also performed, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.
Speakers underscored the significance of the presidential decree issued by Ilham Aliyev on December 28, 2024, which declared 2025 as the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty” in Azerbaijan. They highlighted that the decree carries special importance in the legal, political, and public spheres, contributing significantly to the country’s ongoing development.
The events also celebrated the historic victory achieved by the Azerbaijani Army in the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Officials praised the unity of the Azerbaijani people and the heroism of soldiers, emphasizing that the memory of the martyrs will always be honored.
Additionally, the gatherings highlighted the large-scale reconstruction and development efforts in the liberated territories. Speakers noted that the Great Return and restoration work reflect the high value that the state and the people place on their ancestral lands.
