Azerbaijani FM offers condolences to Türkiye over tragic helicopter crash in Isparta
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has extended condolences to Türkiye over the tragic death of six servicemen in a UH-1 helicopter crash during a training flight in Isparta province.
The condolences were conveyed through a message posted on the minister's official X account, Caliber.Az reports.

"We were deeply saddened by the news of the crash of a military helicopter in Isparta, Türkiye. We offer our condolences to the families of the victims. May Allah rest their souls in peace," the post notes.
Meanwhile, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry also offered condolences to Türkiye over the tragic death of servicemen in the crash of a UH-1 helicopter during a training flight in Isparta province.

“The news of the tragic deaths of soldiers in a helicopter crash in Isparta, Türkiye, has deeply shocked and saddened us.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, as well as to our friendly and brotherly nation of Türkiye,” the post by the ministry reads.
On December 9, a tragic incident occurred during a training flight when two military helicopters collided mid-air in the Keçiborlu district of Isparta province, Türkiye. Following the collision, one of the helicopters crashed, while the other managed to land safely. Emergency teams, including ambulances and firefighters, were dispatched to the scene immediately.
Governor Abdullah Erin of Isparta confirmed the incident stating that the collision involved two training helicopters, one of which made a secure landing. Governor Erin added that he and his team were on-site, conducting thorough investigations into the accident.
Among those who lost their lives was Brigadier General İsa Baydilli, Commander of the Isparta Land Aviation School.
The Turkish Ministry of National Defense later announced that the death toll from the accident had risen from four to six.
