Azerbaijani minister, Uzbek ambassador discuss defence cooperation issues PHOTO

Azerbaijani Minister of Defence Industry Vugar Mustafayev received Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan Bahrom Ashrafkhanov on April 24.

During the meeting Mustafayev emphasised that Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have established strong ties at a high level, based on friendship, brotherhood and mutual respect, and are successfully cooperating in various spheres, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence Industry told Caliber.Az.

He noted that bilateral ties, as well as the relations between the Azerbaijani and Uzbek peoples are strengthening every day.

The minister spoke about good prospects for cooperation with Uzbekistan in the defence industry.

Ashrafkhanov noted the recent development of the Azerbaijani defence industry and said that this creates favourable conditions for the further expansion of ties in the military-technical sphere.

He assured that during his diplomatic activity he would make every effort to develop ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
