Azerbaijani president's interview sparks interest across Romanian media outlets
An interview with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, conducted with local TV channels, has captured significant attention in the Romanian press.
Romania's AGERPRES national news agency, along with MediaFax private news agency, Pro TV, Digi24 TV, and Realitatea TV channels, as well as G4media.ro, Profit.ro, Adevarul, Evenimentul Zilei, Primanews, Forbes, Capital, and others, covered President Aliyev's interview extensively, Caliber.Az reports.
“Arming Armenia will simply lead to new tensions. We do not want this. We want peace. The independent Armenian state is, in fact, a fascist state. Because, if this country has been led by proponents of fascist ideology for nearly 30 years, they have shaped this country the way they did. We are neighbours with such a fascist state, and the threat of fascism is not going away. Therefore, fascism must be destroyed. Either the Armenian leadership will destroy it, or we will. We have no other choice,” the Romanian media outlets reported, citing the president of Azerbaijan.
“Armenia should not act as a geographical barrier between Türkiye and Azerbaijan. The Zangezur corridor must and will be opened. The Soros era has ended in America as well. The Biden administration, in fact, was largely governed by the Soros method of governance. It is no coincidence that one of Biden's final decisions was to award Soros America's highest honor. In other words, those who supported Soros are now losing their influence. The Armenian leadership should take this into account,” the Azerbaijani president was cited by the Romanian media outlets.
In a wide-ranging interview with local TV channels on January 7, President Ilham Aliyev addressed Azerbaijan’s recent diplomatic and economic milestones, as well as advancements in the social sphere. The president underscored the significance of Azerbaijan’s recent acceptance into the D8 Organisation for Economic Cooperation, emphasising its importance for the country’s global standing.
