Azerbaijani pundit confirms US military presence in Armenia

On his Telegram channel, Director of the South Caucasus Research Centre, Azerbaijani political analyst Farhad Mammadov has commented on exclusive information disseminated by Caliber.Az that the US sent military cargo and personnel to Armenia on two planes.

"Indeed, the US embassy could not refute the information disseminated by Caliber.Az. What was the report about? Caliber.Az reported that the US transported its military personnel to Armenia by planes, brought in weapons, left the weapons and a contingent of its military personnel in Armenia. These are the facts. There were exercises, and we saw them. That is, a large number of American military personnel with their weapons arrived in Armenia,” Mammadov posted.

“The goal of the exercises is to "enhance the coordination of units participating in international peacekeeping missions, share advanced experience in management and tactical communication, and improve the combat readiness of the Armenian unit." In other words, under the guise of peacekeeping, the US is organizing the interoperability of the US and Armenian armed forces. What are they coordinating? They are coordinating the management of armed forces and the use of weapons. Armenia uses Russian weaponry, it either needs to be replaced or supplemented with its own weapons. During the exercises, it was announced that the US is sending military advisors to work within Armenia's Defence Ministry. This means the US has left military personnel and equipment in Armenia. What will American advisors work within Armenia if not with the integration and use of military equipment? he questioned.
