Azerbaijani ruling party envisions Zangazur, Middle corridors as pillars of Turkic integration
Tahir Budagov, deputy chairman of the Yeni Azerbaijan Party, articulated a vision for enhanced communication and integration within the Turkic world through the realization of the Zangazur Corridor and the development of the Middle Corridor.
Speaking at the international conference "Organization of Turkic States: Towards new strategic goals against the backdrop of geopolitical realities and global cataclysms" in Shusha, Budagov emphasized that these strategic initiatives, set to unfold in the near future, will facilitate a new multilateral platform of cooperation among Turkic states, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
The Zangazur corridor and the Middle Corridor are expected to play pivotal roles in connecting nations, fostering deeper economic ties, and bolstering regional stability.
Highlighting the historic significance of the Shusha Declaration on Allied Relations signed between Azerbaijan and Türkiye on June 15, 2021, Budagov underscored its transformative impact. The declaration not only elevated bilateral relations to the status of alliance but also laid the groundwork for enhanced stability, prosperity, and development across the region and the broader Turkic world.
Azerbaijan's strategic initiatives, buoyed by its pivotal position as a leading state in the South Caucasus and a crucial transit hub in Eurasia, are poised to catalyze interstate relations within the Turkic world. These efforts not only promise to deepen existing partnerships but also create new avenues for future collaboration and growth.
As Azerbaijan continues to assert its role as a linchpin of connectivity between East-West and North-South transport corridors, the prospects for regional integration and cooperation within the Turkic states are set to expand, fostering a new era of shared opportunities and mutual benefit.
