During the preparatory stage of the international operational-tactical command and staff exercise "Birlestik-2024," Azerbaijani servicemen successfully completed their assigned tasks.
On the second day of preparations, Azerbaijani troops effectively brought regular weapons to a state of combat readiness, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
The exercise aims to enhance joint interaction among participating countries' servicemen and further improve their professionalism and training.
Servicemen from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan gathered in Aktau to participate in joint-tactical exercises at the Oymasha training range and Cape Tokmak in the Caspian Sea.
Azerbaijan's contingent for the exercise includes Army commandos, paratroopers, search and rescue teams, Su-25 aircraft from the Air Force, and patrol and landing ships from the Navy.
The joint operational-tactical command and staff exercises are slated to continue until July 17, aiming to bolster regional cooperation and enhance interoperability among the armed forces of the participating nations.
