Baku Boulevard set for Fourth Industrial Revolution Center launch in 2026
In 2026, a Fourth Industrial Revolution Center will be established on Baku Boulevard, Fariz Jafarov, Executive Director of the Centre for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM), announced.
During the “Industry 4.0: Hackathon 2025” event, Jafarov said the new centre will showcase industrial solutions, modern production lines, and innovations from technology companies, while also serving as a platform for youth, entrepreneurs, and businesses to present prototypes addressing current challenges, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
He noted that the recently approved digital economy strategy includes around eight key projects and more than 50 future-focused initiatives, such as startup support, venture fund creation, the launch of a crowdfunding platform, international conferences, and the establishment of the Industry 4.0 Center.
The strategy also provides state funding for international certifications for youth, development of sector-specific training programs abroad, and hosting of international industry conferences in Azerbaijan. Jafarov emphasised that developing this ecosystem will be a significant contribution to the country’s digital economy growth.
The Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) was established under the Ministry of Economy by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, dated January 6, 2021.
C4IR facilitates collaboration between Azerbaijan and international organisations in the field of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, while analysing and coordinating challenges, initiatives, strategies, and projects related to the digital economy.
Its primary goal is to maximise the opportunities presented by the Fourth Industrial Revolution and position Azerbaijan as a leader in emerging technologies.
