Baku hosts Azerbaijani-Kazakh Business Council meeting
The first meeting of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Business Council is being held in Azerbaijan's capital Baku.
Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) Head Yusif Abdullayev delivered an opening speech, Report informs.
He said that the business council includes 59 companies, 35 of which are Azerbaijani companies, and 24 Kazakh companies.
"There is an intergovernmental commission between our countries, but we would like the business council to become one of the leading forces in the development of economic relations," Abdullayev added.
He noted the importance of diversifying the non-oil sector for both Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan and informed about the participation of the Kazakh Big Group company in the construction work in Fuzuli District.
While speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Board of the International Commerce Chamber of Kazakhstan Ayan Yerenov noted that there are opportunities for expanding cooperation between the two countries in a number of spheres.
