Baku, Islamabad discuss military-technical cooperation

On September 25, Azerbaijani Defence Minister Col-Gen Zakir Hasanov met with a delegation led by Lt-Gen Yusuf Jamal, Director General of Pakistan's Strategic Planning Department, as part of the 5th Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition (ADEX).

During the meeting, Minister Hasanov highlighted the importance of military-technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, noting that it serves the interests of both nations, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.

He emphasized that mutual visits and meetings in various formats exemplify the high level of partnership between the two countries.

The discussions focused on the prospects of Azerbaijani-Pakistani military cooperation, rooted in friendship and brotherhood. Both sides engaged in a wide exchange of views on several issues of mutual interest, reflecting their commitment to strengthening ties and enhancing collaboration in the defence sector.

The meeting underscores the ongoing efforts to deepen cooperation and foster stronger relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, particularly in defence and military technology.

The international military exhibition, ADEX, is the region’s biggest event in the field of defence industry providing the participants with a unique opportunity to meet with military leadership of Azerbaijan, as well as the international military and defence community. ADEX is a platform for selling products through direct buyers, ordering companies, influencers and end users.

ADEX takes place at the Baku Expo Center from September 24 to September 26. It is the largest event in the region dedicated to the defence industry and coincides with the 14th International Exhibition for Internal Security, Safety, and Rescue Equipment (Securex Caspian). Both exhibitions feature participants from around the globe.

Along with products for the navy, aviation and army, the exhibition is an ideal ground for presentation of Homeland Security products. ADEX facilitates the exchange of experience among participants, visitors and experts in the sector, and a chance to upgrade products in accordance with requirements of the regional defence industry market.
