The discussions centered on bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States, as well as the prospects for the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Caliber.Az reports citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
The importance of strengthening US-Azerbaijani relations in alignment with mutual interests was emphasized, along with the productive collaboration between the two countries within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Mammadov provided an update on the situation in the region following the conflict and highlighted the ongoing progress in peace treaty negotiations. However, he pointed out the persistent claims on Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty in Armenia's constitution and legislative acts, stressing the need for their removal.
