Bilateral ties in focus: Azerbaijan, Albania discuss strategic cooperation
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a meeting with Besart Kadia, the newly appointed Albanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, on October 29.
This meeting marked the introduction of Kadia as the first Albanian ambassador to the country, during which he presented a copy of his credentials to Bayramov, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.
Minister Bayramov extended his congratulations to Ambassador Kadia on his appointment and expressed best wishes for his future endeavours. The discussion primarily focused on enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Albania.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the existing collaboration across various sectors, including political, humanitarian, economic, energy security, transportation and communications, investment, and tourism.
They underscored the significant role of energy and transport projects initiated by Azerbaijan, which are pivotal in strengthening Azerbaijani-Albanian relations.
The importance of mutually beneficial cooperation and solidarity between Azerbaijan and Albania within regional and international organizations was also emphasized. This cooperation aims to promote joint initiatives and address actions taken against both nations. Additionally, the two officials discussed Azerbaijan's upcoming chairmanship at COP29 and exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest.
