This incident follows a series of recent road accidents in Türkiye. On February 3, a truck with malfunctioning brakes flew off a bridge in the city of Şanlıurfa’s Birecik district, taking another vehicle with it. The accident resulted in three fatalities and 22 injuries.
The truck had lost control for nearly a kilometre before colliding with multiple vehicles, ultimately sending a passenger car off the bridge alongside it.
Additionally, on February 2, a deadly crash occurred in southeastern Türkiye when an intercity bus collided with a truck, killing one person and injuring 19 others. The impact caused a passenger car to be demolished, and the vehicles involved caught fire following the collision.
Authorities continue to investigate these incidents as concerns over road safety in Türkiye grow.
