COP29 president to visit Serbia for climate cooperation talks

Mukhtar Babayev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan and COP29 President-Designate, is set to visit Serbia, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told a press conference with his Serbian counterpart, Marko Djuric.

Bayramov highlighted that Azerbaijan is preparing to host the global climate conference, COP29, scheduled for November this year, Caliber.Az reports per local media. 

He also noted that President Babayev’s upcoming visit to Serbia will focus on discussing collaborative efforts and cooperation within the framework of Azerbaijan's COP29 presidency.

The visit underscores the importance of international partnerships in addressing climate challenges and reflects Azerbaijan's commitment to engaging with global stakeholders as it prepares to lead the forthcoming climate summit.
