COVID-19 cases in world exceed 614.8 million

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the world reached 614,867,412, as of September 25 morning.

Some 6,536,481 people have died from the consequences of COVID-19 since the beginning of the spread of COVID-19 in the world, Interfax reports referring to the US Johns Hopkins University.

Among the countries with more than 30 million COVID-19 cases are the US, India, Brazil, France and Germany.

The number of infected and those who died from the consequences of COVID-19, respectively, are as follows:

US – 96,65,161 and 1,56,409.

India – 44,568,114 and 528,510.

France – 35,304,648 and 155,927.

Brazil – 34,624,427 and 685,750.

Germany – 32,952,50 and 149,458.

According to the Worldometers website, which specialises in statistics on the most important world events, the death rate per one million people in the world as of September 25 morning was 839.

Some 3,229 people died per one million inhabitants in the US, 375 people - in India, 3,176 people – in Brazil, 2,361 people - in France, and 1,771 people – in Germany.

Around 12,252,898,635 doses of vaccines against COVID-19 were injected into the population of the world during the COVID-19 pandemic.
