Deputy economy minister talks Azerbaijan's efforts to increase non-oil exports
Legal regimes are considered in Azerbaijan to make non-oil production competitive, preferential trade agreements are signed with various countries and discussions on free markets are held.
According to Report, Deputy Economy Minister Elnur Aliyev made the statement while speaking at the Human Resources Summit 2023 held in Baku on June 21.
Aliyev emphasized that last year non-oil exports exceeded $3 billion: "The process is in full swing. The main goal is to achieve the targets related to the non-oil sector, specified in the State Strategy 2022-2026".
This year Azerbaijan has exported non-oil products worth $1 billion 465.85 million. Only in May, the value of non-oil exports amounted to $278.25 million, which is 25.8 per cent more than a year ago.
Over the last five years Azerbaijan's non-oil exports totaled $11.3 billion.
