Dutch Deputy Minister shares insights from Baku trip, eyes future visits to Azerbaijan
Dutch Deputy Minister for Political Affairs, Marcel de Vink, shared his reflections on his recent trip to Baku and expressed hopes of returning to the country in the near future.
In a video message, reported by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Baku, de Vink described the visit as highly productive, with key discussions held with several Azerbaijani officials, including Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
"It was an honour to meet with them. We discussed matters of mutual interest," de Vink said.
The Deputy Minister noted that the discussions covered a range of topics, including economic and consular issues, as well as migration. "There are many areas in our bilateral relations that merit discussion, making this visit very fruitful. However, the talks were not limited to bilateral matters alone. We also touched on regional issues, which are of particular importance given the proximity of this region to Europe. Additionally, we addressed broader geopolitical aspects, which are especially relevant in the current climate," de Vink added.
He expressed his gratitude for the meetings and the warm hospitality he received during his stay. "This was my first visit, but I hope it will not be the last," de Vink concluded.
