El Universal: Hypocrisy, manipulation hinder peace Mexican newspaper about slander and speculation of Armenians

El Universal newspaper, which possesses a wide readership in Mexico, has published an article titled "Hypocrisy and manipulation hinder peace".

Armenia's lies about the so-called "blockade" and "humanitarian crisis", slander and speculation against Azerbaijan, and the policy of hypocrisy are causing a serious blow to the peace process, Report informs citing the Azerbaijani Embassy in Mexico.

Despite the fact that after the negotiations in Prague, Sochi and Brussels both countries recognized each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty, and even the Armenian prime minister stated that he recognizes Karabakh as an integral part of Azerbaijan, the subsequent irresponsible actions of the Armenian leadership, whose words and actions do not coincide, and the wide slander campaign they launched against Azerbaijan have not brought stability to the region and make it difficult to achieve peace.

The material says that the misuse of the term "genocide" by Armenia and its patrons causes only discontent, and the leading rabbis of America and Europe have sent a letter of protest to the leadership of this country, in which they urged not to turn the Holocaust into a vile means of political propaganda and respect its victims.

At the same time, it is noted that international expert Rodney Dixon rebuked the "Ocampo report", emphasizing that politicians of such countries as France, the United States, showing hypocrisy, turned a blind eye to the unprecedented Armenian atrocities and ethnic cleansing to which the Azerbaijani people were subjected for many years, as well as the destruction committed in Azerbaijani towns and villages.

The article notes that the mine terror carried out by Armenia on the territory of Azerbaijan continues to have severe consequences in the post-conflict period, Armenians abused the Lachin road precisely for the transportation of mines and ammunition to the territory of Azerbaijan. The fact that the allegedly "starving" Armenians refuse to accept cargo via the shorter Agdam road is a clear example of the fact that Armenia seeks to politicize this issue.

The piece also stressed the importance of mobilizing all efforts to achieve stability in the region, mutual recognition by the countries of each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty and withdrawal of the remnants of the Armenian armed forces from the territories temporarily within the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeepers.
