Turkish leader warns foreign intervention in Iran poses regional risks
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that foreign interference in Iran’s affairs is unacceptable, warning it could create serious risks for the entire region, during a joint press conference with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
Erdoğan stressed that seeking a diplomatic solution to Iran’s challenges, particularly regarding its nuclear file, represents the most sensible course of action, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
“We are fully convinced that foreign intervention [in Iran’s affairs] poses significant risks for the whole region. A diplomatic resolution of issues with Iran, including the nuclear dossier, is the most reasonable approach,” Erdoğan noted.
The Turkish leader emphasised that diplomacy must remain the primary tool for addressing matters related to Iran, including its nuclear program.
