Foreign investors plan to create agro-industrial park in Azerbaijan

Investors from Uzbekistan and Arab countries intend to create an agro-industrial park in Azerbaijan, Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Development of Economic Zones under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan Zamir Dibirov said.

"Foreign investors have applied to the Agency with a corresponding request. Uzbek investors intend to invest in cotton production in Azerbaijan and create cotton clusters here. Arab investors are still considering certain areas in agricultural parks. In addition, there are also local businessmen who want to invest in agricultural parks," Dibirov told Report.

"Investors' applications for agro parks are considered and if they are expedient, they are registered," the agency's official added.
