SOCAR showcases global energy footprint at Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition PHOTO
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is showcasing its operations, international projects and energy transition initiatives at the 31st Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition in Baku, held as part of Baku Energy Week.
SOCAR, the general partner of the event, is presenting a dedicated stand under the theme “Reliable Partner, Trusted Energy Supply”, highlighting its role in Azerbaijan’s energy security alongside its expanding global footprint and digitalisation agenda, Caliber.Az reports, citing the company.
The exhibition display is divided into three main sections covering national energy assets, innovation and international operations, and sustainability initiatives.
In the “Power of National Energy” section, SOCAR is featuring information on key upstream assets including the Shah Deniz, Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli, Oil Rocks, Bulla-deniz, Absheron and Umid fields, as well as major infrastructure such as the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, the Southern Gas Corridor and export pipelines including Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Supsa and Baku-Novorossiysk. The display also highlights the Iğdır–Nakhchivan gas pipeline, the Nakhchivan New Thermal Power Plant and renewable energy projects.
The “Innovation, Digitalisation and Global Operations” section focuses on SOCAR’s digital transformation efforts and international portfolio, including subsidiaries and assets such as SOCAR Carbamide, Petkim, STAR Refinery and Italiana Petroli, alongside overseas projects including Tamar, Baleine and Ustyurt, as well as its retail fuel station network.
A third section, “Sustainable Future and Environmental Protection”, showcases education and research initiatives, including the Baku Higher Oil School and the Caspian Training and Certification Centre, partnerships with international universities, and programmes in geothermal energy development and methane emissions reduction.
SOCAR is also participating in the Baku Energy Forum, where policymakers and industry executives are discussing developments across the global energy sector, with a focus on security of supply and the energy transition.
