Georgia authorises protest marches in Tbilisi
The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs has authorised protest marches scheduled for December 27, allowing demonstrators to gather and move through central areas of the capital, Tbilisi.
According to the ministry, organisers notified authorities of plans to hold marches starting from the first building of Tbilisi State University and from the Tbilisi Philharmonic Hall, with both routes leading toward the parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.
Participants have been permitted to proceed along sidewalks and use underground passages during the marches.
Earlier, the Interior Ministry had granted approval for protests to take place near the parliament building until January 9, 2026, provided organisers and participants comply with a set of established rules and public order regulations.
