Georgia builds glassy high-altitude bridge with cafe in middle
Georgia has commissioned a 240-metre glass bridge across the Dashbashi canyon in Kvemo-Kartli Region of the Tsalka municipality.
The opening ceremony was attended by Georgian government officials, MPs and Israeli investors, according to Georgia Online.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili noted that an unusual infrastructure has been created in the Tsalka Canyon. He said the project was implemented by the Israeli company Cassland, with a total investment of 120 million lari ($40.8 million) and the creation of 250 jobs.
Visitors to the unique complex will be greeted with an impressive sight: panoramic beautiful views, paths leading to cascading waterfalls, visitor cottages, and an original-shaped cafe equipped at a height of 200 meters in the middle of the bridge.
The tourist complex in the Tsalka Canyon (Dashbashi) in the valley of the Khrami River will begin to receive visitors from June 15.
