Georgia grants land to Azerbaijani embassy in Tbilisi
22 July 2025 13:14
Georgia has allocated a plot of land in its capital, Tbilisi, to Azerbaijan for long-term use.
The 69-square-meter parcel, located on Vakhtang Gorgasali Street, has been granted to the Azerbaijani Embassy for free use under a 49-year lease. The decision was formalised on July 18 with a government order signed by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Caliber.Az reports per Georgian media.
The move is based on Paragraph 2 of Article 36 of Georgia’s Law "On State Property."
In line with the directive, the National Agency of State Property under the Ministry of Economy has been tasked with executing all necessary legal procedures to finalize the transfer of usage rights.
