Georgia launches development of decade-long national strategy
Georgia has begun drafting a comprehensive ten-year national strategy that will guide the country’s development from 2026 to 2035, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced following a government session in Tbilisi.
The initiative aims to establish a clear roadmap for Georgia’s long-term progress across all sectors, setting measurable goals, specific objectives, and concrete deadlines, Caliber.Az reports per Georgian media.
The prime minister said the strategy would serve as a foundational document to ensure the country’s stable and consistent development over the next decade. Once finalised, the plan will be made public, outlining key priorities for economic growth, infrastructure, governance, and social development.
Kobakhidze also highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance transparency and eliminate corruption, noting that all official acts are now accessible to the public. He credited the Ministry of Infrastructure for implementing new practices designed to improve the quality and oversight of infrastructure projects nationwide.
According to the prime minister, early results of these reforms are already visible, with further improvements expected in the near future. He urged citizens to report any potential cases of malpractice, reaffirming the government’s commitment to accountability and transparency.
