Georgia's FM: Azerbaijan-Türkiye cooperation growing in strategic importance
Georgia's Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili has said the trilateral partnership between Georgia, Azerbaijan and Türkiye has become increasingly important for regional security as geopolitical tensions reshape the strategic landscape.
Speaking at the Allies in Ankara forum in Türkiye, Botchorishvili described cooperation between the three countries as a successful model built over decades, saying its strategic value had grown significantly in the current security environment, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
She said jointly developed energy projects and transport corridors had taken on greater importance, while the strategic role of the South Caucasus and the Black Sea region had increased amid ongoing geopolitical shifts.
Botchorishvili said the war between Russia and Ukraine and developments in the Middle East had changed perceptions of the Black Sea region, the South Caucasus and Georgia, underlining the need for closer regional cooperation.
She also highlighted the growing importance of the Middle Corridor, describing it as a key geoeconomic and geopolitical route linking Asia and Europe.
