German-based Azerbaijanis seek int'l protest against embassy attack in Iran
Azerbaijanis living in Germany have urged the German public and the international community to take action to protest against a deadly terrorist attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran on January 27.
The statement came from the Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with the Diaspora on January 30, Report informs.
Diaspora organisations have called on the German public and the international community to protest this bloody terrorist act, to take legal and political measures to prevent provocations aimed at destabilising the region, the report adds.
Statements distributed by the Cultural Centre of Azerbaijanis of Munich, the House of Azerbaijan in Munich, the German-Azerbaijani Friendship Centre and the Germany-Azerbaijan Friendship Bridge organisation strongly condemned the terrorist act, as a result of which the embassy security service chief Orkhan Asgarov was killed and two staffers were injured.
